I've tested different Launchers, GO Launcher HD, ADW Launcher EX, Nova Launcher, in my opinion, Nova is the best choice for tablets, it works smooth, extremly quick responsive.
The resolution is 1920x1200, and I'm also using Nova Prime as my launcher and it works extremely well!

Default Just plugged it in...

I received the A700 about an hour ago. I plugged it in to give it some juice (it didn't have much). I connected to WiFi and connected it to my Google account, and played a bit with the Ring. The Ring is a cool feature, but I don't know if it will still be there when I install a new launcher. I like the size and weight, and the back of the tablet has a nice grippy feel. It seems to me to be pretty solidly built. I'm giving it another 15 minutes on the charger before I start really playing with it. I'll spend a couple/few hours loading my apps and playing around with the stock launcher before I commit to Nova or the other one.

That's what I'm using as well. I've used Nova, but I always end up coming back to Apex.

Got the A700 earlier yesterday and I am still within the 30 day window to return either the A510 or A700. Man I am so torn. My A510 is AWESOME wrt to battery life. I just primed/trained it real well for longer battery life with the programs I run and the frequency of charging.

The A700 is not even close in that regard. It also gets warm like everyone else has mentioned. The only thing going for it is the sharp display and it is commendable. I somehow managed to run the A510 in a way that it doesn't get warm like others have mentioned but the A700 is beyond me. Perhaps the A510/A700 heat issues are specific to each hardware but I wish the A700 wouldn't get warm I may try for a replacement unit but I might be one of the few who retains the A510.

Unfortunately that is not true. Internally the A510 and A700 are virtually identical except for the screen itself. Read my Heat thread in the Dev section for more details.

I think the A700 has a different GPS chip as well, it shows it having GPS as well as GLONASS, I don't remember the A510 having GLONASS.

Well if that was my first impression, then I would hardly call it unfortunate. I read your MOD and it does seem like a good progress and something that Acer should have heavily worked through on their own instead of having to rely on community mods. I am not returning it right away anyways.

At the moment except for the resolution, for me personally, the A510 has been better in every way so far. Still more testing to come.

Hi,
I send my Acer Iconia A700 back to amazon. The usability wasn't so good and the stuttering while I was reading a pdf or opening a app was awful. I did a short video for those who want to see the problem.
Also the hot spot on the right side was a littele bit uncomfortable...

Here is my video:

This is my little test report about the acer iconia a700

Yesterday I ordered the Asus transformer prime TF700T and I hope this one will fulfill all my wishes...

Some members seem to be having serious IO issues with the Asus tablet that appears to be inherited from former Asus tablets...

Let us know what your experience is, thanks.
