Is it possible to get thee old look from 1.3 where icons were smaller?

I believe you are talking about the dpi. You can accomplish this by editing your pad.prop.

Anyone have problems with gallery app cuz I have a lot force close when I try to see a picture

it has been noted to have problems and stated to use quickpic(truthfully, there's no reason not to)

Quickpic is better than stock gallery,been using it since using cm7/blackice

Yeah that's a known issue. Go under settings Paranoid. Select app density. Last one, turn phone in landscape and select all. Find gallery and change dpi. Anything lower then 240.
