Still waiting for something to use it with (sometimes I hate ebay) but I did get a new batch of cases, so I used the time to dismantle the old case. Gave me a chance to test how well the ring adapter sticks to the case with Sugru (well!) and allowed me to make a version where the ring is centered around the lens, not the lens/led piece

CPL and the largest lens cap (for the wide angle lens) arrived today. Still missing some step up/down adapters and the 30mm (small) lens caps. CPL looks nice, not the right weather to go play with it right now though.

CBA finding my DSLR or better lighting so here's a mr blurrycam of all the pieces. From the bottom, the adapter case, cpl, macro, wide angle, and lens cap

Is it possible to use the DSLR spare part (the lens house/hub only, the ring in the middle of the DSLR) so you can mount real DSLR lens...Maybe this is a good idea?

DSLR lenses are designed to work directly with the image chip. These screw-on lenses on the other hand are designed to work with existing lens systems. Slapping a DSLR lens on an existing lens won't work unless there's some sort of adapter lens out there that I don't know about. Probably why you can't find (read: I've tried to find, with no luck) adapter rings that go FROM X mm rings to DSLR lens attachment rings.

Hmmm, the auto-focus controller for DSLR is in the lens... I was thinking about the Chainfire's DSLR Controller program paired with DIY adapter to control the lens' auto-focus...
The lens connector in the DSLR lens mount wired to microUSB and controlled via some sort of program that can fix the focus of the phone's camera and control the DSLR lens' auto-focus... So the phone's whole camera become the image chip/sensor and the lens/auto-focus is the DSLR lens itself.

It would be magnificent.

Maybe Chainfire could help for the program since he made the DSLR Controller program?

It's not a matter of focus, it's a matter of how the lenses break the light. If you were to attach it, you would get a tiny bit in the middle where it actually films through the lens, and then the rest of the on-screen image will be the camera seeing the sides of the lens.
