I have the Telus version of the Note, still on stock. I want to root but the root methods I've come across use an AT&T based flash method. How will this affect my phone radios for calls & data? I've read so many conflicting threads from all over the web, I think I'm more confused now than before. Any help would great. Thanks. (I did use the thanks button already).

Any chance we could get a quick vid of Wipe cache & Dalvik Cache. This is the one step that worries me, especially since such importance is placed on this step.

Default ULE2 Rom

Hey all, n00b question, I can't seem to find the answer to this, but I am downloading a ULE2 based rom for my note, and was wondering if it has the hard brick issues. Thanks!

Default Going to ICS

Hey guys, quick question. I'm on stock GB right now and I want to try one of the new ICS roms out there. Now I remember from my SGS2 days that when coming from GB to ICS for the first time you needed to flash an ICS kernel first. Is that the same for the Note? Or can I just load the rom onto my sd card and flash away? If I do need the kernel first can someone point me in the right direction? Thanks in advance!

What I did was put CWM (see link) then, flashed the ICS of your choice, make sure you do all your wipes, you may have to flash twice.
so:
1) put ROM ics of your choice on sd phone
2) odin with below link
3) boot into cwm and do your wipes and install...if hangs on boot screen go back into CWM and reflash.
But give it a few minutes it take time to build up the system.

Default First post

When did the companies start checking into how many times a device has been flashed?
