its a niche device for media consumption, for those that will be using the tablet for more cloud based apps its a perfect system. for those that need more space and peripherals it wont be a good product, 16gb is enough internal storage for whatever mp3 albums i want in the car and the wifi tethered to my data plan on my phone will give me all the internet content i can consume while operating my vehicle, my acer a100 is an 8gb and i only have an 8gb sd card in it and has performed admirably for me however the nexus has a better screen, better resolution, faster processor and best of all it is thin enough that i can mount in a removable fashion so that i can use the tablet outside of the car.
the nexus 7 isn't the best option for everybody but for the people that its parameters meets there is no better. i am sure asus will release a fuller version of this tablet down the line sometime that will have the functions that meet the peoples needs outside of this niche market maybe a transformer mini prime who knows. but for now i want my nexus and the acer a100 will go to a good home, its being factory restored and sold to my brother who will give the tablet to his son as a birthday present.
