Unhappy [Q] O2 XDA Orbit2 Screen Frozen - Help Urgently Needed

I have an O2 XDA Orbit2 - Unfortunately the screen is frozen and it is stuck at the message 'Several incorrect passwords have been entered. To continue password entry, enter 'a1b2c3''. I am unable to enter anything.

I have tried both a soft and hard reboot but the screen simply returns to the above message.

I have tried Active Sync and have been able to retrieve my tasks (200+) and contacts (2,500+). I am NOT however able to sync and retrieve my diary (dating back to 2001). I really don't want to lose my diary if possible as it contains birthdays, important dates, etc. I am also able to browse my Xda and copy all files back to my laptop including PIM.VOL. The only file
I can't copy is CEMAIL.VOL (I think that's it's name) which it says is locked. I believe PIM.VOM contains my encypted diary - I opened using NOTEPAD although encypted I can make out one or two entries.

I have tried the following without success:
(1) I have tried to install Mymobiler but it won't connect to the Xda.
(2) I have tried upgrading Windows Mobile Device Centre to the latest version for Windows7 with no success. I still can't sync my calendar.
(3) I have visited the O2 shop who were no help.
(4) I have tried a hard reboot. I thought I would then be able to copy the PIM.VOL back to the Xda. As noted I can't perform a hard reboot.

I don't know what to do. Can you help? I have read lots of posts on the XDA Developers site but haven't found a solution. I aren't very technical so anything about Flashing ROM (whatever that means), etc is lost on me.

Can anyone provide a solution to retriving my calendar data or can recommend a company in the UK who could help me. I don't care about the phone as I have an iPhone but as I say I really don't want to lose my calendar data.

Thanks for reading and hopefully being able to help me.

Simon
