I have a B70 TF101. Today I installed v1.16 with guevor-V21.5 kernel. It started up fine, I set the tablet up the way that I wanted it and made a nandroid backup. On restarting, the TF started fine however it was unable to connect to the WiFi. I tried a variety of the other available kernels, Stock, msticninja-1.0, guevor-V21, guevor-V20.1 and guevor-test17c. Alas all to no avail!

Each time I installed the kernel I carried out a cache wipe and a dalvik wipe.

I really liked the ROM with the additional features however I have had to take it back to Gummy V1.2.

If anyone has any suggestions as to how I could ensure that the WifI was picked up I would be most grateful.

Thanks.
I do not know if you tried to restore parts of the backup with Megatron but this could be one reason that WIFI does not work.
See in the configuration of WiFi if everything is set properly.

Try Guevor V22.6 for Megatron and see your Transformer Fly

Good evening - I installed the V22.6 Kernel for Megatron, alas no change with being able to access the WiFi.

With regards to what is happening with the WiFi - for any access it seems to be in a loop, giving an obtaining IP address, then fails, then tries another access point with the same results and so on. It has a MAC address but no IP address.

All the other ROMS I have tried have been fine. I tried the Silky Smooth ROM today and it is not having any problems.

Any further suggestions greatly received.

Thanks again.

Hello,

Don't know if you already know this, but if you use Megatron, you need to have a kernel with a "modified" blob. Otherwise, you won't have any wifi working with Megatron.
Notice that since Megatron v1.1.x, previous "Megatron Kernels" (those developped for working with Megatron 1.0.x) don't work anymore with this new rom.

So, you must use right kernels.

You have 2 (or 3) choices:

- 1. You get ONLY kernels from Megatron Parts app. Ricardo has already modified these Kernels (Stock, Guevor, Mistic...ALL that you can see with this Megatron Parts app) to work with his new rom.Inconvenient: these one are not latest kernels.

- 2. If you want to test latest Guevors's kernels, you get ONLY kernels that Guevor has modified for Megatron. Now, Guevor posts 3 kernels for each release (one is for Megatron rom)

- (or 3.) You modify by yourself blob with a Linux machine (or virtual machine) by using blobtools. You could find a thread in XDA to do that.

Thank you for the reply.

All the kernels I have used have been for the megatron ROM. I have not been able to try any of the kernels from the megatron parts as I am unable to access the internet with the ROM flashed. Are you perchance able to direct me to a link for these kernels?

Unfortunately modifying a blob is beyond me at the moment.

Once again, my thanks.

the guevor kernels at http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...php?p=24534878 have megatron versions.

The direct download link for 22.6 is http://forum.xda-developers.com/atta...1&d=1340617902

Edit

Sorry just read back a few posts and this is the one you said doesn't work. One thing I'd suggest is making sure the date/time is set correctly, a few times I have installed a rom and the date has gone to the default being years out and blocked internet access till I set the date/time correctly.

Another edit

The download link for megatron parts takes you to a page that has a number of different kernels

I would like to ask a quick question... does your access point use MAC filtering ? I had an issue once due to the MAC address changing when using Megatron, effectively blocking my tablet...

Good evening all. I would like to report that I now have everything installed and working perfectly.

I chose to delete the backups I was using and start afresh. I installed the latest guevor kernel and all is well. Internet access working and a very smooth experience.

Thanks to all for taking the time to offer help and advice.

Most grateful to everyone.
