Sign [Q] how to restore whatsapp conversation? (I have all the needed files)

I have done factory reset and deleted all the files. before doing that, I did copied ALL the whatsapp folder from SGS1 to my computer.

my question is:
how can I restore all the conversations I had? what 2 do?

(I have in my computer "whatsapp Databases" folder.. and more of course.. this is the chats?)

Hi! I just now finished doing this same thing...

Its pretty simple:

Just copy all the whatsapp folder to the internal SDcard and re install the app.
After you put your phone number and name, it will say it found backup file and ask you if you will like to restore all that.

Just press yes
And you got everything back to normal

Hello. So you made a copy of the WhatsApp/Database folder correct? Good.
1. Go into Settings > Apps > Whatsapp.
2. Then click "Clear Data" and "Clear Cache"
3. Then open up WhatsApp Again
4. Close out and Uninstall WhatsApp
5. Download WhatsApp from the Market again, DO NOT OPEN IT.
6. Copy the backed up Database folder into the original position.
7. Open WhatsApp, Put in your phone Number and Push Notification Nickname, hit next
8. You should then be prompted to Restore a Backup, Hit Yes and continue.
9. Messages should be restored.

I Hope this helped. I Only know it because when i change ROM's i loose the conversations with my lady and its a right pain. So i learn't how to back it up, i now keep multiple backups.

Hope this Helps, Hit thanks if it did!

but dude if you still have the files on the side should be no worries
Send them an email to the "costumer service" of whatsapp they answer really fast and kind of know the app from inside!

Good luck!
