I buyed a new 1800mAh Samsung for my S but battery still dead after 16h with 2h about of display and some 30min 3G. I'm using last Elite RC V1.4.1.
How the f**k can you get 48 with moderate usage??

Moderate use aka 3G off and standby, no pushes at all, lol. Seriously if you use your phone "moderately" with 3G on it lasts 15 hours maybe, but not longer. But that no big deal since it's totally normal for smart phones. If I use mine heavily (-> 3G on, navigation and radio stream) my 1,8 AH battery is sucked dry within 3 - 4 hours.

Does anyone knows the difference between the PolarCell and CellePhone batteries?
Except for the price..

Just go to the German cellephone (dot de) site and search for I9000 + cellephone/polarcell. You'll find the two batteries. One for 8,80 euro, the other for 12,90 euro.

I just bought a 3500mAh battery from ebay, with extended back. It does make the phone a bit thicker and heavier but well, it certainly prolongs batterylife
