Hi,man. The fact you have to know is that while people are recording, they cannot shot non-conpressed pictures too many, or the camera will quit.

The pay version is only about £2.50 if my memory serves me correctly. It has lots of features that I don't understand that are supposedly professional. But, if you are keen photographer and want to turn that brilliant 1X of ours in to a DSLR for the price of a coffee give it ago and spread the tips back to me once you have figured out how to use it. I NEED HELP.lol https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...1lcmEubGl0ZSJd
Since I installed the venom hqcamera, while stock gives up to 5MB shots for detailed scenes, cameraICS shoots up to 8MB for better 'high detail' https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...lynx.cameraics

Before doing the hqcamera mod, cameraICS was taking pics smaller than 2MB at best. That may help others not wanting to SLRize their phone so to speak.

Yup. Well the person didn't change settings which at default levels those results may happen but do some further reading, I found stuff like putting positives and negatives adjustment makes the pictures vastly different and when shown on a big screen, the difference can be seen. Pretty much any settings look ok on the small HOX screen (relatively) but make big changes when shown on big screens, 24" screens etc.

Edit.

Also I noted just then his test was done 2 months ago, before the improvements made in our phones of late might also have some impact on his results vs what we are seeing 'now'. But as said, and I agree with him that file size/detail means zilch if the actual picture suffers from washing out, under/over exposure, tinting etc. I am actually seeing the results from probably 20 to 30 'man hours' of actual photo taking and comparing stuff. I love having 2 'cool looking kids' under the age of 3 to test with

I actually used ICS Camera again yesterday. I had it months ago on my Desire HD and it was ok but at the time video did not work. It seems to have improved immensely since then either because of being on the 1x or with in its self. I was very impressed with it :)

I have asked the (pro) discussion moderator if he would like to re-do the test bearing in mind new ROM updates :)

Nice to see I definitely saw a big improvement with ICS camera of late. So either their own updates and/or the camera mod files has helped imho. I'd put up some pics but I'm on the motorbike today so using mobile data at moment.

Tonight will be a different story tho. Oh, and video! Ok, time to go vroom vroom

Is it possible to make the steps in settings smaller? For instance when wanting to set the saturation, I can only take 5 steps and the right color is laying between two steps... It would be great to take smaller steps...

Cheers and keep up the good Work!
