Thanks for this. I tried it on my One S and I can definitely see some improvement. It's absolutely retarded this whole refresh thing though. Is there any way to tweak it beyond ultimate? I usually am running an average of about 5 or so apps and it's really annoying when the refreshing starts. From my observations, Chrome seems to be first in line to start refreshing... even games refresh. When all this refresh is going on I still have over 180 MB's free.
What's really annoying is that once the refreshes start.. it seems to be like a plague. I had about 6 apps open a while ago (Gmail, Browser, Chrome, Google Reader, Play Store, Settings) then I started noticing refreshes... so I only left the Chrome, Google Reader and Play open, and every now and then Chrome and Reader kept refreshing.. and occasionally Play. This just by switching between them.
Are there other things I need to bear in mind to get my apps being killed less? Is 150 MB free RAM ok or is that pushing the device too much or what?
