Every time that I flash a kernel should I use the kernel cleaner?

If no in which case should I use it and what is the real action of it?

Thanks in advance

Default I wanna say something related to this kernel

I have flashed 5 different kernels during the weekend from the CheckROM kitchen. Problems are they don't support exFAT and some don’t even have voltage control to adjust. But Siyah kernel really taking cares of our needs.

Although a little bit of battery drains but the under voltage of -100mV is SUPER stable to fill back the shortcomings.

It really has many great innovative features like speed up AC and USB charge and it seemed to be very safe on battery and without battery any overheat issue.

I honestly appreciate with your work Mr. GM. Keep going and hope the battery life can be improved a bit more then it will be flawless

It's dangerous if your oc of 1800 uses a voltage over 1400 mv, since that's the highest safe voltage for the exynos processor. Higher than that, and your chip will degrade over time.

Wiping cache and dalvik when flashing a new kernel will not do anything to help the kernel, all your doing is forcing the rom to rebuild its cache, needlessly.

Not dangerous in itself,
However, over the long term the overheating generated by high frequencies may damage your CPU.

The main problem is, depending on the luck of the draw (varies from one specific unit to the next) your phone may become unstable, have frequent FCs and not perform well with that level of overclocking.

Plus.... SGSIII already is a beast with the normally clocked Exynos, pushing it to 1.5GHz may give you that little added edge, but really, at the moment, there is not a single app that will make the CPU break a sweat handling it.

I don't think those things are any more useful than a placebo...

Flashing a kernel does not require any "cleaning" or wiping of any sort.

I've flashed (probably thousands of kernels) for a long time using wipes, then doing nothing... Haven't noticed a difference.
I've never used a kernel cleaner, and I've never had a problem that could be traced to that.

- Galaxy SIII Omega v43 ROM + Perseus v34.3 kernel (or Boeffla v2.9)
