So this is what I did:

1. I flashed the stock rom
2. I relocked bootloader
3. I flashed the ICS RUU
4. I tried to unlock bootloader using the XDA all in one tool kit and failed.

I tried going into recovery to flash the nandriod I made but it gives me a screen with a phone and an "!" in a triangle.

My phone is still "relocked" and when I try to unlock it says "Unlock_code.bin not found". I have that already from HTC-Dev from registering my token but I don't know where the fastboot files are.

Thank you for taking the time! I appreciate it.
Search "fastboot.exe" on your PC. Its most likely C:\Android or C:\Android\platform-tools

Actually, I am such a noob.

I forgot that once I had the "Unlock_code.bin" I had to place it in the "Data" folder of the ALL-IN-ONE tool kit. After I did that, I was able to unlock my phone and BAM! Back to normal.

Thank you tho! I appreciate it. Hopefully next time I'll have a question that's a little more challenging!

So the only way to flash ICS is to put the file on the external sd ?

Guess I'm going to have to buy one after all.

Going from the point above, I ran into this article online.

http://androidadvices.com/install-le...tc-amaze-4g/1/
http://androidadvices.com/install-le...tc-amaze-4g/2/

Summary of article:
  • download ICS firmware
  • put it into your phone's internal storage
  • flash package from recovery
  • factory reset wipe cashe

Couldn't that work as well? I don't see a big difference in putting it on a external SD vs internal SD.

The problem is I can't unlock my bootloader with HTC's tool, I get to the last step where I need to confirm that I want to unlock it on my phone but nothing shows up on my screen, it stays in recovery mode.

I got a quick question. I thought ICS was supposed to be the bridge OS between phones and tablets. If so, why can we encrypt a tablet but not a phone?

OK, I flashed it, it worked, told me to reboot the device. I did, but after the reboot it stays at the HTC blank screen. I already had unlocked the bootloader.

No it didnt work. Your bootloader needs to be locked as I told you. And you need to flash in BOOTLOADER not recovery.
