I think that is an excellent case for applying yourself because you can state that and the mods will consider it as opposed to the more direct method of looking at your user profile, clicking on the Statistics tab, then all threads by user and seeing 1 or 2 current "guide" threads and thinking rejection to begin with. Draw the conclusions you want the mods to see instead of leaving it to chance, but don't fluff it up (much) or the opposite will happen. Do their legwork first and you are halfway there.

Thanks for the vote of confidence. I appreciate you walking me through it
Edit: Have taken the leap and applied. Hopefully I make the cut, or find out what I can do to be accepted in the future, thank you to everyone who helped me along the way
Great work and thanks for this thread s.d.oconnor. I, like a few others on this thread thought that someone had to be a News Writer to get the RC title but now I know differently.
It would be great to gain this title one day but regardless of whether I do or not, I'll always try my best to help others out as that is what this great community is all about.
Because there's no guides I can write that haven't already been done, at the moment, I'll just have to wait until I get another phone and try then but for the meantime, just carry on with what I'm doing.
Thanks again though for the thread
EDIT - Congratulations to all the people who have became RCs and RTs. Keep up the good work

Join my threads here and here.
One remark to that. You don't necessarily have to make a guide only for another guides sake. If you have contributed very well, write detailed well explaining answers and are roaming around through all different threads in your area to help people this gets appreciated as well.
It's not like "this user helped lots and lots of people, has two way above average guides but he cannot become RC because he doesn't have 3 guides."
I think you get the idea.
Contribution is not only about guides, but about content, effort, behavior and what you give to the community as well.

Mmm, I would have to disagree with that. I applied and was denied because I didnt have as many guides as they wanted...

Sorry about that. I thought you were pretty close, but it may depend on the mod as well. If I have any other ideas for guides, I will post them back here.

I said "not only". If you have a guide less you need to show even better work at other threads of course. If you want I can ask PG101 here to get the ultimative statement to that, but I merely told you what he said once at the RC forum. The requirements are not handled absolutely strict, if you proove yourself as really great somewhere else.
Sorry for your denial.

Thanks, I`d like some more ideas. I`ve been looking around at other device forums for ideas, but haven`t come up with anything yet. I appreciate your help.

Yea I understand. And dont worry about bothering him, I`m sure he has other more important things to do. I just thought that my other contributions would account for more than they did.

Thanks for your support guys
Well, I am not sure if this will necessarily help you or not as I am on a different phone, but I had an idea. I went back to my oldest threads posted when I first started here and had abandoned, and realized that I could turn one of them into a guide with a little work. It is not much of a guide, maybe more of a mini-guide, so it might not count as a full 1 of 3, but you never know.
You don't have a lot of threads, but I thought that it might help you here?.
Otherwise, this might help. Try scrolling back a few pages in your Q&A forum and see if there are repetitive questions that haven't been answered or maybe that have been answered several times that could lead to worthy ideas for a guide. I know what you mean about the lack of new things to do, the Sensation is getting pretty mature now so most things that can be done have been done. There is not a thread like this in GS2 Q&A forum that I saw, maybe you could start one?

Yea, I tried to make one of the new person help guides, but someone pointed out that they already had one here . But I'll try to look back into the q and a section, thats a good idea.
Thanks for your help, I really appreciate it. If you have any more ideas dont hesitate to mention it

Ahh, from the title I would not have guessed that was the purpose of that thread. Sorry s.d.
Just to give an idea also that you do not need to have guides to become an RC just take an example of me. All I ever do is help people when I can and were I can on the forums. Either by helping them with how to install a Rom or how about sorting an issue if there in bootloops. Always check your forums q and a for people who need help. That is a good start. And also a thread which is unique. Ok maybe unique not is a good word but check the links in my Sig to get an idea what I am talking about guys.
