I'm loving this ROM and it's tweaks but I'm having some serious WIFI trouble.

I can connect to my router and I have good signal, but the connection only works for maybe a minute before I can't pull anymore data.
It's still connected and has good signal strength, but no more data comes through. Now if I leave it connected it eventually locks up my router and no other devices on the network can get any data through. As soon as I turn off my phones wifi the router kicks back into gear and my other devices can get data again.
At first I thought I was having the dreaded antenna disconnect problem, but it's not that as the signal strength is still fantastic, and of course there's the router locking issue...

I've tried changing wifi sleep policies, DHCP vs Static IP, the Best wifi performance setting (on and off), even changing to Faux Kernel and it's still happening.

I do need to get onto a different wifi router and test it out on there because I suppose it could be my router, but if anyone else has had similar issues it would be great to hear back...

I do remember this happening to me maybe once or twice in the two months I had the phone on the original firmware but I just toggled wifi and it didn't happen again for ages, but as soon as I tried wifi with leedroid it happened straight away and just keeps happenening...

Cheers!
Same here, ever since I bought the phone, this issue happened only on my own wifi network, but nowhere else. I tried a few roms and kernels, but it didn't change anything. The problem was also happening on the original rom. Only solution I found was to reboot the router, and it sometimes works after that.
(Good to see I'm not the only one !)

Try manually setting your wireless channel in your router. Mine was in automatic and since changing it to a channel <8, I've not had a single problem!

I actually thought I'd already done that, but I'll give it a check when I get home this arvo and see.

What type of routers do you both have? Mine is a D-Link DSL-2750B. I have had a few problems with it, especially the original firmware that kept losing it's settings every time you rebooted it but the firmware update fixed that...

I think it happen with certain kinds or wifi routers. I had this problem on my parents wifi house untill they buy another wifi. I remember that was same problem as you, connected but not data.

There's an App called Wifi Analyzer that will tell you which channels are better. You can use that to help decide what channel to set your router to.

I'll second that. That tool is brilliant. You can decide yourself what's best, or pick which AP is yours and let it recommend a channel to switch to.
