This problem is definitely related to low strength signal. At home it happens. Im out right now and bars havent left 5 bars and having zero drop outs.

I highly doubt it. I've tried 3 different roms and all the radios I listed. I'm pretty disappointed... I just got this phone from T-Mobile and passed the 14 day return period. Plus my boot loader shows its been "tampered"...

Not sure what roms you guys are using but with wcdma preferred and fast dormancy set to 0 in build prop connection has been solid. Before that was having same issues.

I've been sticking to the cm9 nightly builds. I don't see a fast dormancy field in /system/build.prop and I my wcdma is already on preferred.

Which rom are you using?
