thank you.

So here's a little goodie for you, I've repacked the kernel into Aroma Installer, so if you'd like to test the kernel and customize it while installing, here you go
Enjoy, JP.
Phone : TMOUS HTC Amaze 4G, Rooted, S-Off, SuperCID
ROM : depends on my mood
Kernel : faux123-v029
I just flashed v008b8. My previous kernel was bricked v1.4. Should both cores be online all the time? Or is there something I have to modify?

If I do not make mistake, I read on this thread that with bricked and sabastian FM kernels the CPU1 totaly turn off. Faux kernel doesn't turn off the CPU1 but put it in deep sleep, so basically the result is the same, only difference is that system tuner or other tuners show CPU1 still online and not only CPU0. For me I have greater battery life with Faux than others, so it doesn't use more battery to keep it like that. And I believe this way CPU1 respond faster being in sleep that totaly off. As my benchs results are greater with faux than any other kernel.
HTC Sensation XE
ROM: ViperSs 1.6.3
Kernel: Faux 010b8 Yank555 version @ 1728 MHz uv -100
great information thank you. i have been using this kernel for only a couple of hours now and performance is excellent.

Hey Yank,
Just tried your Aroma version for the first time as I've not used an Aroma version before. Nice, very nice!
My problem with it is I'm overwhelmed with choices and not sure what exactly to pick to be the best, for me. We should have some kind of profile database with the recommend settings for how you use your phone.
In my case, quite a lot of web surfing, emailing, hardly ever make phone calls. Don't play games much (apart from the occasional Angry Birds when answering calls of nature at work !) Phone is usually plugged in to USB when I'm at work and in a car charger, and charged each night, so I'm not too worried about battery life... Recommend me some settings!!!

With what you describe, just go for the default settings
If you were concerned about battery life, I'd have said, set CPU max lower, don't use GPU OC, but since it's not an issue at all
And if you are into loads of multitasking, I'd have said, partition you SD card (add a swap partition), use hardswap and don't use zram.
