Agreed....I wish there was some way to adapt iHome and similar products to use microUSB.....

There are official docks (for desk and for car) that use the pogo pins on Galaxy Nexus. They are pricier than non official ones, but they are good quality.

For those concerned that the Nexus 7 version of the dock will go in Portrait mode, as the home screen is in portrait and does not rotate, please remember that using the pogo pins triggers a 'docked mode' in the Nexus and Nexus 7 and so the OS works a little differently and can also load a 'dock app' (such as Car Dock Home on Galaxy Nexus) if so configured. I assume that when Asus releases an official stand for the Nexus 7, it will be in Landscape mode and will rotate the screen for most if not all use while in the dock.
Don't be shy to hit that 'Thanks' button

I wasn't too worried about this, as my Xperia S with the native launcher is fixed in portrait - but when connected to a TV via HDMI will rotate. I expected the Nexus 7 would do that too.

I am also looking for a charging dock, but I will wait until the reviews start pouring in.

I had bad luck when I was looking for a charging dock for my AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note. Those "3rd party" dock have myriad problems:

1). Not giving out enough charges (<500mA) compared to OEM one (<700mA), making charging very slow
2). Charging circuit kinda messed up, showing my dock charged as "USB" - result? See no. 1
3). Galaxy Note have a bug that USB charging causes the phone not to go into "Deep Sleep" mode (N7 also have mode, but not the bug), killing the device battery life. So if the dock have issue as in no. 2, you know what happened.

I have like 4 docks for my Galaxy Note and majority are junk due to the above.

Has anyone ordered this one? It looks okay and I'd love to hear whether or not it is decent.
