Actually the Mercury case covers too much of the screen for my liking.

But given the price, if you don't mind your screen appearing smaller and the possibility of it lifting up your screen protector, it's still a good purchase.

My case doesn't touch my screen protector (a cheapo full-frontal protector) at all... Also, it doesn't even touch the front panel, let alone the actual display area.

I mean the faceplate in general. It's not that noticeable unless you have a SGP TPU case for comparison. But it could be a real problem for anyone using a full coverage wet screen protector. The reason that I gave away my Mercury case is because it kept lifting up my XO skin screen protector and introduced dirt under it.

This is my only real complaint about Mercury. But like I said before, the price is unbeatable for the quality.

I just received my case yesterday and the lip is much smaller than my diztronic case. The only downside I have so far is the squeaking the case makes but hopefully this will go away after getting broken in...

DONATE TO ME
Got mine in today and the quality is excellent. I like it better than my diztronic as far as how it feels. I went with the sky blue which ended up being a mistake because it's much lighter than what it looked like in the pics.

hello kms108 and EVIL_JIMMY,

which color is the best anti fingerprint and dust magnet? and is the front face lip thicker or thinner?

i would like to purchase either white, lime, yellow or black one but still confuse which one to choose. i prefer the one which not a fingerprint magnet. i'm using momax icase pro black right now. it has thicker lips on the front side which i like, makes me feel safer when dropping the phone face down, the tpu material on the side is not slippery and kind of anti fingerprint. but the momax icase pro lacks in covering the bottom ports, the mercury case has the perfect fit to cover the bottom.

i also wonder which case is more reluctant to survive of a face down drop accident,.all tpu material or a hybrid (tpu+pc) one?

i've read some posting and found conclusion that dual layer protection or even more is the way to go for face down drop test, but i couldn't find any dual layer case which uses tpu and pc material, they are all come with silicone and polycarbonate only.

thanks in advance, have a great weekend you all!

update:
never mind the question what is tougher and such. i just read these articles regarding pros and cons of tpu and pc:
phonecasescovers polycarbonate
phonecasescovers thermoplastic polyurethane

i don't know whether it's valid information or not, but it seems TPU is better absorbing shock compared to PC. correct me if i'm wrong here. the momax does include PC at the back, but it doesn't add a soft silicone layer to prevent it from scratching the original nexus backplate.
