Is that a button? I find it rather redundant if you already have a power widget enable in status? Well how did you do this? I'm not using the power widget provided because I like the notification toggle app much better lol
I've had it up to the back teeth with arseholes on here with loud voices who contribute jack **** to the community apart from their opinionated attitude. Try actually writing some code, spending a lot of your time doing something useful for others or shut the hell up. I don't think people realise how many hours I have spent doing ****** for other people in the last few weeks, when I could have been spending time doing my own development. I have other devices than the Nexus S you know, and they have been pretty much neglected recently.
The same goes for users who think developers owe them something and they think they can dictate their choices. They don't, and you can't.
Your freedom of choice is to use another ROM if you don't like the choices a ROM developer implements. That choice will *never* be taken away from you, so stop talking utter **** about freedom.
I'm so sick of this I will not be replying in this thread further. I will not be looking at this thread and I will be unsubscribing from this thread. If you want help, tough ****. If you feel the need to reply to this and slag me off, go for it, I won't be reading it.
I apologise to the people who are being reasonable on here, but seriously, the arsehole element on XDA has really pissed me off again. No surprise though, it didn't take long, and this was one of the main reasons why I vanished last time and why I told them where to stick the recognised developer title.

Sent from my Nexus S™
Mod is very simple, I modified smali.
Only rotation icon works, because this icon is pre-included in JB(diabled in phone, enabled in tablet maybe)
Sent from my Nexus S using xda app-developers app
Current : Nexus S JellyShot + Marmite

I'm bored of this script **** now. It has become horribly boring and dull with the same bull**** being recycled and repeated and as I said before, [URL="http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=29483611&postcount=1558"]it's ironic that the loudest voice is someone who releases a kernel which is pretty much a verbatim copy of mine
If you probably mean me, since only I and bedalus use your kernel as base and I don't see him posting here, then I'll let you know that you've seriously disappointed me now. Are you really like that? I would never attempt to undermine someone else's voice by attacking them. I won't even defend myself because I don't do that kind of childish exchanges. If you have a problem with my experimental kernel based on yours just say so and I'l rebase it on stock out of the respect I have for you, it's as simple as this. Meanwhile, grow up.

So only a selected few have a right to an opinion and you decide who? This is getting better and better. If you're talking about respect, then think what it would mean for other kernel developers (and again, I'm not speaking for myself) to block their kernels, their time, their dedication, their contribution regardless of how big and significant.

Choices will be taken away if there's a check embed in the framework, this is undeniable and you cannot pin this on anyone else or say they still have the choice to change ROM because they shouldn't need to in the first place if they like it and would just want to try another kernel.
Users opinions do matter, if this wouldn't be the case then AdamG wouldn't have added many features due to requests.

You know what? I've also been here since G1 times and XDA has become increasingly rotten, there we agree. But unlike most senior members who blame the new users' attitude, I actually blame some developers losing sight of the cooperation and openness spirit.

I'm using 0.1.5.1
does anyone here have a problem like me:
Play Store, when I download app from that, I always get this error:
"blablabla" couldn't be downloaded due to an error. (403).
sometimes:
"blablabla" couldn't be downloaded due to an error. (927).
any suggestions to overcome that?
I've wiped my cache, dalvik-cache. Clearing data of playstore. Replacing Phonesky.apk with another.
but no luck.
Past Devices:
Nokia 6015i > Nokia 3230 > Nokia 6120 classic > Google Nexus S (crespo)
Current Devices:
Google Galaxy Nexus (maguro) - Alcatel One Touch 090
you will NOT taste the REALAndroid experience, until you try the Nexus
Uh I'm not locking anybody down or restricting anybody.
The kernel is part of the ROM, its part of the package that you downloaded so it makes up part of JellyBelly, if you don't want to use JellyBelly in it's entirety then move along its quite simple.
You all have unlocked bootloaders don't you? I'm not bombing the update package with a script to lock your bootloader here for **** sake.
Seriously the ones who are not happy with it move along, I've taken note of your concerns and views, I'm not doing any of this to spite other developers or ruin the spirit of the community but none of you complaining can see it from my point of view.
There is an abundance of ROMs available that you can mess around with as much as you want here on XDA nobody is limited to one choice.
I have a view for this ROM to be stable and bugfree.
To save further discussion on this matter, yes I have already implemented code directly into the framework for the next version to check the kernel and reboot to recovery if it does not match a specific list, if your not happy then the time to move along is now, I will not be reversing my decision.

Try remove .android_secure from your sdcard in recovery, failing that it's an issue at Googles end.

Direct, concise and respectful.
Even though I disagree with the premise, that post should tie things up.
I hope you and JellyBelly will benefit from this decision but you've just lost one user, our principles diverge too much and I don't like invasive developers. CM10 time.
P.S. Congrats, you are probably the first guy in XDA to have killed support for 3rd-party kernels in an AOSP-based ROM.
XDA Developers was founded by developers, for developers. It is now a valuable resource for people who want to make the most of their mobile devices, from customizing the look and feel to adding new functionality. Are you a developer?
