Hey, I dont post much in this thread, as your tookit is always flawless for me. I am wondering, I have stock 4.0.4 imm76k, and can backup/restore perfectly. (I am sick of loosing google music playlists, so started using your tool). So here is my question: I currently backup all apps, system & shared - from 4.0.4 to another 4.0.4 phone perfectly. I want to put Pete's Bugless Beast JB Rom on. I know I must wipe data/davlik x3 b4 flashing rom. Is there a way for me to backup the google music app data without messing up any system apps in JB?
Oh, I use Google Play Music offline, and now ive tried syncimg..at .google.music.com or whatever, nothing shows, no playlists or songs......Crap..guessing i have to remake with music manager?!
I know i could do a backup like i currently do, but you suggest in toolkit not to backup like that unless going to same build. If i were to backup apps/no shared/no system...then this wouldnt backup my current google music playlists, cache, etc.; correct? Or Can I backup a single app (Music) with shared data, etc. and it still work with JB?
I hope im not too confusing....with 4.0.2 to 4.0.4 was easy as vzw had update at that time, but we all know (assume) that VZW is in NO hurry to put JB on the GNeX.
Anyone, thanks for your help....!!! (Working on in-laws phone, so is y I need to 'image' as best I can and restore to JB.)
Hello,
I am a bit confused I used the toolkit and it worked fine.
However I am now on Jelly Belly 4.1 ROM and do not seem to be able to get past the first screen.
I believe they use a different bootloader can that be the issue? I am rooted and unlocked.
Would like to know how to get back to stock when needed.
ChangeLog:
ToolKit v7.7 (31st July 2012)
+Fixed Auto Updates not installing from V7.6
+Enabled 'Quick Pick' option in Main Menu and added some info
+Enabled non English OS support to open Internet Explorer for people who want to donate
+Updater will now only update from the last released version to cut download size (this may mean you get a few incremental updates if you have a very old version
+Installer will automatically clean folders before installing (will not delete folders that may contain roms or user files) so no need to uninstall between builds
This release is mainly to fix an edit I made which meant Auto Updates could not be installed however I didnt want to post just that so I thought I would add some more things while I was at it lol.
Make sure to read the info page on the 'Quick Pick' feature and let me know if it sounds ok.
Sorry, but I couldn't see a Q&A thread for the Verzion Nexus, and this seemed to be the most active, and the one I will need to come to once I purchase my Nexus.
But, I have heard alot about LTE connectivity Issues on the Verizon Nexus, from various internet sources, and today from a Verizon store rep. Such as always connecting and disconnecting from 4G LTE and GPS continually cycling and using much more battery than necessary are the big and most common problems mentioned. Are these issues only with the stock Kernel and Rom? And flashing to a new custom Rom fixes them ususally? I've only seem information about these issues on News sites that don't talk at all about Rooting and Roms. So was hoping that meant the hacker community have already worked through them long ago.
Also, the Rom I really really want to use on the Nexus is Replicant. Because its 100% free software (as in freedom, cause if I try it and like it. I'm donating to it ) All apps are changed out for Free and Open Source alternatives, and the drivers are even switched for open ones I think. Its currently only working on International GSM devices, because that is the only ones the 2 developers have access to. Can we maybe start a donation pool to pay some LTE developers to help port Replicant over to the Nexus? That would be amazing
If anyone prefers this to be in another thread that I didn't notice, please let me know and I'll try and move it.

Custom Roms usually fix alot of things that are inherent in the Stock Rom so you would have to look at the Rom threads to see if those issues are fixed in the Rom.
