I'm currently on WW .22, have there been any successful upgrades from WW .22 to US .26?

Yep, plenty. The manual method works just fine. But avoid using an NTFS-formatted SD card, and you'll be fine.

So is it just (micro)SD or USB storage too?

Anything NTFS (SD or external HDD) is likely affected. Internal storage on the TF700 is fine.

Thumbs up Steps that worked for me

Steps that worked for me (for anyone still having issues getting the update to work):
  • Grabbed latest firmware from THIS RW POST
  • Copied dlpkgfile to the root of my SDCard (I used dropbox client, but any means of transfer would have worked)
  • Connected to my tablet via USB (with USB debugging enabled) and opened adb shell. In adb shell, I executed:
Code:
        su
        echo --update_package=/cache/dlpkgfile > /cache/recovery/command
        cat /sdcard/dlpkgfile > /cache/dlpkgfile
        exit
  • Removed MicroSD card and shut down tablet by holding power button
  • Entered recovery mode by holding power and vol down until it vibrated, released power, waited until logo showed up and then released vol down and pressed vol up
  • Recovery ran and automatically executed the update and then rebooted into the new firmware!
  • TO GET ROOT BACK: Just re-run the root exploit in THIS RW POST, install SuperSU again, and then uninstall Superuser.

If it can help, here are my dlpkgfile files, saved from the \cache folder before upgrading:
WW .26: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/69089498/TF...e/26/dlpkgfile (will update to 9.4.5.26)
WW .30: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/69089498/TF...e/30/dlpkgfile (will update to 9.4.5.30_20120907)
WW JB: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/69089498/TF...e/JB/dlpkgfile (will update to JB 10.4.4.16_20120927)

WW .30: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/69089498/TF...e/30/dlpkgfile
So please help me clear up my misunderstanding.

Do we need to use the .30 file if we are on .30 and want to update to JB or do we use the .30 file if we want to update to .30 and are on .26?
If what I said was remotely helpful the thanks button is right there, only takes a second.

The .30 file will update the system to 9.4.5.30, so when you are on .26!
If you want to update from .30 to JB, use the JB file (I just added it today)...

Hi all. Is it possible to go from will update to JB 10.4.4.16 to .25 using dlpkgfile? I'm right now at .16 using instructions in this post. They worked ok. How can I proceed to .25? Where can I download missing dlpkfiles to reach to .25 JB? (WW version). Thx.
