I think I might have narrowed down my problem to the fact that app I'm dealing with stores it's data in /data/data, not /sdcard/Android/data.

Has anyone been able to bind a directory that is in /data/data?

If you could, it wouldn't be a good ides.

Remember that the sdcard is mounted last in the boot process. Apps are loaded earlier.

/data/data could be symlinked with root explorer, although where too I'm not sure.
Generally to symlink it still needs to stay internal (or ext partition of sd card). Its not good, mixing internal filesystems with fat32 etc.

I just discovered that cm9's directory structure is different and complies strictly to AOSP, that's the reason why that most cm9 reference to external SD is different from the Samsung's recommendation..

read more about it here

there's a possible workaround in the settings menu that would allow the external sd card to be used as the secondary storage instead of the internal sd..i am gonna test this theory..

Hey guys..just flashed cm9 alpha by Acro and changed the storage configuration in system settings to use internal expanded storage; it just reversed file management to bind SDCard to external SD and emmc to the internal SD. So the primary SDCard is now referring to my 16GB micro-sd instead of my 1.7GB internal SD. So I am not using DirBind app at the moment since all Gameloft data files are put directly into my micro sd ..

Next I wanna test this with Link2SD to find out if there are any issues recognizing the ext4 partition..
