You people should like record your conversations with these Samsung people. I'm downloading the UK version now.
Own a Galaxy Tab 10.1 running CM10 and a Galaxy S3 running stock T-Mobile Jelly Bean 4.1.1.

These conversations probably wouldn't happen if they were recorded. I originally asked if they could get me the files for the upgrade from their intranet site. He said it wasn't available and there was a note about being delayed until the injunction was cleared or it was determined otherwise by legal/management.

But that injunction does not hold for Canuck-land, and even there there is no ICS Stock available for download. Methinks this is just a rumour, as otherwise other countries (Canada included), where there is no injunction in place, should already have had the update... Or maybe getting it very soon.

Also whether or not there is an injunction for selling the product, it would never be impacting current install-base, this is not a retro-active injunction...

So I flashed the Stock UK ICS ROM on my US Galaxy Tab 10.1. Does this mean I'll get UK OTA updates from now on?

If its a WiFi only, then I'd say yes. May be different with the 3g version.

It is. So this update may have just been delayed for so long, because Samsung had to negotiate terms with their new partners integrated in Touchwiz (zinio etc.)

That makes no sense. The injunction is affecting selling new units not upgrading units that are already sold as far as I know.

I'm sure it makes sense to their management somehow. How do you explain that it's been almost a week that other regions have it and the U.S. still doesn't?

Only a few regions (in Europe) have gotten the P7500/P7510 update, the rest of the world not yet, so ony about 15% of the install-base has had ICS for the P7510. But I just read the P7500 on Verison (in the General Forum here) have gotten ICS, so there still is hope...

EDIT: Gaaahhh, it seems that still is about the Italy one... So drat, double-drat and something else. No Americas ICS yet...

Ah well, it will come to those who have patience...
