Meaning for 10 hours a day, 5 days a week I get no service, pretty much making the phone a useless brick and unworthy of paying £35 a month for.

All my colleagues on 3 get signal on their phones. and I've moved my sim into my HTC Desire which works perfectly everywhere that I take my HOX. I've tested this all across London, and the difference in performance is just crazy.

Funny bit was, that for about 2-3 weeks after buying the phone from release date, it works great everywhere, then an "update" came out and broke it.

This weekend, I've just unlocked, rooted and installed Android Revolution 7.2.2 (based on 2.05-test firmware?). As of early this morning the performance looks no difference, or even slightly worse in my home (use to have stable 1-2 bars, now it wobbles between 0-2 bars). I've yet to move about London or go to the office, so we'll see tomorrow.

Shame I only just found this thread and forums this wekeend, since I had a right go at 3 (I feel the phone should be exchanged to something different, they dont!), and told them to shove the contract where the sun don't shine, and I ordered an O2 sim only.

anybody updated this to jelly bean and fixed the issue ?

The last i checked the One X AOSP JellyBean build did not have an operational radio...
Just checked now and both JB for EndeavorU AOSP and Ice Cold JB both work, nice one.

I might give this a try on Sunday when I get some time, but I have to say since moving to ARHD 7.2.1 it doesn't seem to be as bad, and certainly the dropping calls has reduced. Just wish I'd get a stable H instead of flicking back and forth to 3G.

No better for me across either the JB ROMs or AR.

Anyone tried the custom ROMs with the latest firmware/Sense update? Seems to have some radio fixes in it.

Well well well, this is interesting.

After my first day use of the MaXimus 2.2 ROM - the one with Sense 4.1 and the new radios - I have to say that the signal issue is drastically reduced. I've made the same journeys today that usually result in Emergency Only errors, and have had none. Very interesting indeed.

I'll monitor tomorrow and see how it goes, but initial results are positive!

Default signal

this signal issues seems to across most networks and looking at the new release of build 4.0.4 for the htc one x on at&t it claims there is a fix for the 3g d 4g issues they have seen in america..look it up it explains the fixes included in the new build, i have spoken to htc about this problem and there claim of a sensative radio seems spot on and they are looking at addressing the issue, im with three (uk) and they have reported as saying on there blog that the update 1.29 was put back because of the new update was ruining the radio and they want to make sure most problems are sorted before release...fingers crossed it helps everyone out....so check out the change log for the new android 4.0.4 release to htc one x on the at&t network only at this time..

Read my post above. I'm using the new update with T-Mobile UK. So far, so good.
