Default ROMs?

I've been on the Galaxy Nexus since December. I've always ran it stock, non-rooted (though I did unlock the bootloader when I first got the phone).

I'm wondering WHY use a custom ROM on the Nexus? I know on other phones, custom ROMs are popular because they can give you an AOSP feel for those who like it. But on the Nexus, you already have that. I guess I'm wondering if I should run a custom ROM on my Nexus. But I can't really see what it would add.

Anything?

extra features is usually the #1 reason

#2 is performance increases.
Go back to stock on your Galaxy nexus using efrant's guide: here

you could start with looking at the rom threads because they tell you what they added or changed from stock. apart from that, its about learning the phone and controlling your device. there are plenty of choices and lots of development, to list what each roms does different would just be a whole page copy of the dev section. I personally run a cm10 port just for a few tweaks here and there and a couple visual changes
Let me google that for you -The best way to help someone and also tell them they are lazy at the same time.

Some of us just like a few extra features. Toggles in the notification pulldown, extra customization...it's the little things that matter in life! If you are happy with what you have, no need to change it.
