Just one more suggestion regarding brightness and display in general, probably u can take some ideas from cm-color for the i9000 cyanogen roms, that's probably a way to satisfy all...

I run 166mhz @ 775mV -> Rock Stable for weeks.

I upped the GPU freq's on each level without touching the voltages. This thing flies.
Plus i noticed the extended WIFI range. Very nice indeed. Please leave the GPU tab as it is. is very nice to have control over almost over your phone.

Plus i did OC and UV a little. This Kernel is my favourite.

With B5 when m just listening to music, system/bin clocks CPU at 500Mhz.

It was 200 MHz with B3.

I also see in the change log that samsung modified something related to mmc. I think this is the root cause for the higher clock.
