I dont have root on my S3.

In the "Manage Applications" in settings, I see that there is a "Disable" option for these apps. Is disabling these apps the same as freezing in TB?
It seems that some of those safe-to-remove apps in the list, the "Disable" button is blacked out (e.g. MAPServiceSamsung). Does this means that you should not remove these apps?

It's the same feature like freezing in TB, but with less choices. This doesn't means that you shouldn't remove/freeze these apps.

What about the items in the list where there isn't mentioned what to do?

I think they where just edit / submitted to the list by people to let others fill in what they do
Anyway, i am Omega V11 and installed it without most off the Bloatware accept Polar viewer and S-memo.
Nice option of the Omega roms.
It comes with the Aroma installer that will let you choose what you want to install before flashing the rom.
Here is a old list, it's been changed in newer versions, but this give you a idea off what i mean:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...&postcount=166

And here is my latest list off apps i froze extra after installing V11 without any problems:
AvrcpServiceSamsung
Broadcommemsservice
Bubbles
com.samsung.app.playready
DRM-protected.content
DSMForwarding
DSMLawmo
Face Unlock
FM radio
FWUpgrade
Live Wallpaper picker
Mapservicesamsung
Phase Beam
Photo wall
Samsung account
Samsung Backup
Samsung Backup Provider
Samsung Data Relay
Samsung Push Service
Samsung Syncadapters
SamsungAppsUNA
SecPhone
Streetview
User manual

These apps i froze, somehow maps wasn't stay frozen, it always was running again after a restart and because i don't use it, i uninstalled it completely.

Default Updates for the spreadsheet

Hi

Here are a few updates for your spreadsheet.
The eagle-eyed amongst you will notice I am a Note user not an S3 user.
I am running an ICS ROM very similar to that on the S3, so what works for me should work for you........ but I cannot guarantee that..... obviously.

Hope this helps............. FF

Search Applications Provider
No
com.android.providers.applications
ApplicationsProvider.apk
Required for application installation and uninstall.

Factory Test 1.0
Yes
com.sec.factory
FactoryTest.apk
Removed without any problems. No noticeable side effects.

Gmail 4.05
Caution
com.google.android.gm
Gmail.apk
If you don't use Gmail you don't need this. One side Effect is that it breaks Talk (which can be safely removed if you don't need it).

Google Calendar Sync
Caution
com.google.android.syncadapters.calander
GoogleCalendarSyncAdapter.apk
Can be removed but the synchronisation of Calendar with Gmail/Google calendar no longer works.

Google Contacts Sync
Caution
com.google.android.syncadapters.contacts
GoogleContactsSyncAdapter.apk
Can be removed but the synchronisation of Contacts with Gmail/Google contacts no longer works.

LogsProvider 1.0
No
com.sec.android.provider.logsprovider
LogsProvider.apk
Will cause crashes.

My Uploads 1.5.14
Caution
com.google.android.apps.uploader
MediaUploader.apk
This APK manages upload to Picassa, Facebook, etc. can be removed without causing crashes.

Software update 1.0
Caution
com.android.settings.mt
MobileTrackerEngineTwo.apk
This app controls device tracking, without it you and/or the police cannot track your device. But is a memory hog and can be removed without causing crashes.

Music Player
Caution
com.sec.android.app.music
MusicPlayer.apk
This is the Music Player (obviously). Can be removed if you have an alternative installed, e.g. WinAmp

Samsung Galaxy Note GT-N7000
