I'd do it myself but I can't replicate the issue.
Phone is charging a bit now and im downloading nosympathy's stock rom to see if it's rom related or not. Then ill do the above

I have the same effect on my replacement phone as I did on my first one.
Not sure which to keep now although the replacement seems to be picking up satellites quicker -_-

If one did not want google now, would simply removing the apk prior to installing the ROM remove it? If not, what else needs to be done? Thanks!

When you're using the Maps application it utilizes the VZW location services and Google Location Services, when you're using something that purely uses the GPS, then it uses the Standalone GPS services. Navigation and Weather apps are a few that use it pure.

So for those of you who say it's working on their maps and stuff, can you please turn your WiFi, VZW location services, and Google location services off and tell me if it still works for you when you load maps or something? I want to try and eliminate causes for this bug >.<

I really like 1.5 but sometimes (since I have no sense of navigation myself) I like to go to my friends houses and I need Navigation (LOL) and sometimes I like to check out the weather (for Glendale, AZ, not Meeker, CO).

You have WiFi on (and probably the other Location Services I mentioned above).
With all the extra stuff off and strictly standalone GPS I get "Waiting for location" for 30 seconds or so in Maps then "Your current location is temporary unavailable"

The icon on my top bar shows that GPS is locked though when I run a GPS calibration app I get 0/25 locked.

Exactly. The GPS doesn't work. The other services are what are getting you a lock-on, not the GPS.

Located me just fine and I have none of those on. I've been using navigation since yesterday and it has been flawless.

Hmm.. Did you flash the Original 1.5 w/o the fix or the One with the fix included? (Keyboard Fix)

Flashed original 1.5 over 1.4 only wiping cache and dalvik. I then flashed the small fix file for the JB keyboard and that is all
