That's correct, and if you flashed the Generic International Firmwares - LT28i to start with, you'll end up with LTE bands and Tethering & Portable Hotspot as well

babeband? sounds promising

As I said in the post about upgrading to ICS - Yes exclude everything except baseband without wiping data to get LTE support on ICS.

Not to be a dick or anything but if people would just take the time to read through the threads its spelled out already multiple times. It gets old real fast when people keep asking the same questions that have already been answered. Take the time to research and read through the forums because more likely than not the question has been asked and answered already. And for the xperia 2012 line a lot of the tweaks/hacks work on multiple devices so looking at the other device threads helps as well.

Current Phones/Tablets:
Lumia 920 // Xperia Z // Xperia TL // Xperia ion // Xperia P // iPad 3
Accessories
Sony Smartwatch // Sony Smart Wireless Headset pro // Sony LiveDock™ // Xperia ion Smartdock
Past Phones/Tablets:
iPhone 1st Gen/3GS/4S // Nexus One // Dell Streak // Atrix 4g // Xperia Play // Lumia 900 // Xperia S // iPad 1

Click here for my Xperia firmware downloads.
Use the Thanks button if I helped.

I understand what you're saying. my excuse is that I haven't been on xda in a long while so I wasn't expecting ics for the att ion. The other thing is that not everyone has perfect grammar and so when someone puts up a guide on how to root/unlock bl, it's kinda confusing to follow direction's. The op's directions were clear, but no where did it say that this was meant for att ion's as well.

I also went to the ion wiki thinking that if it doesn't mention ics on att ion's then I guess it's not possible yet, but seeing as how there's a way to get ics on att ion's, someone should update that thing.

lol just saw babeband

I used a text editor to change all the LT28h in the system/build.prop and now it shows LT28at again.

I'm already on ICS. I want to root. But don't wanna lose all my games data haha. I notice to go back to gingerbread it says to wipe data :/.
So I know titanium which is only thing I have ever used requires root..
What app can I use back up my games save data that don't require root?

Motorola Atrix 4G
running CM10 JB
Sony Xperia Ion

Isn't there a backup and restore app in ics. Use it. I think it should do the job. Also u can setup backup location.
