If you bought it second hand, there could be a chance that the original owner unlocked it already.

Yea, but that's after bootloader workings. I'm assuming you'd be wanting to flash their ROMs.

havent tried other sim cards but ye i didnt get an unlock code. SO basically all i have to do is pop in att sim card on my verizon bought stock phone , dont know of any password but if it does show up asking for a password enter the 00000 or the 123456 or whatever it is and i will have data and 4g??

No, this thread wouldn't say Work in Progress if that were the case. There wouldn't even be a thread. You will get Edge/GPRS.

my bad .. thought it was for europe and foreign sim cards. Thought all us sim cards would work and have data and 4 g.
