back and search capacitive buttons not working

The back and the search buttons in the S2 stopped working after i flashed with ICS ROM. The keys were working before and now it is not
The keys dont even register in the Key test in the recovery mode (other keys vol up/down , power , home , settings , everything gives a number)
:'( . Its lighting up , but no vibration feedback and no work,
This happened after rooting .

( i have tried the Jelly beans also same issue )

any suggestions ???

any way to reset everything so that the keys start working ???
(i have reset , and now its running stock ICS)

Symptoms of an i9100 kernel/Rom on an i777, or vice versa. Bet voice quality sucked in calls too. You need to do some more research before flashing...

yes i also initially saw that , so i reset (using Odin http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1313659 (very nice thread btw) )
i did do that......

but then again now i tried ....now it is working ...... thank u well for stressing on the point again !!! thank u
