OK, noob question ~ sorry

I have version 4 running fine but everyone is talking about doing a full wipe first. What is the best method for me to start fresh. Should I install the stock first and then V4?

Well, if you don't encounter any problems then you don't have to make a full wipe

Ok guys, has any body experienced freeze? I've already seen several times on v4 can't remember v3!
@toldo, the tab froze while i was reading a post on xda, the same happened yesterday as i was using androzip, on the other two occasions i got notification that "shell" is allowed root excess then no touch response. I could only turn the display on/off. Long press power was the only solution.
got dmesg do u need logcat and last_kmsg too?

Regarding freezes, I still use very first version of this ROM, no freezes, nothing, everything works like a charm.
When i tried first to upgrade to v3, immediately i got freeze when browsing. I strongly believe that all that freezes are due to use of so called Supercharger and other scripts like that. Try to switch it off and see what happened.
Maybe some users really get some performance boost, using that script, that i doubt, but from my previous experience, whenever i tried to use it, i always got random freezes when browsing.

ive had 2 freezes too, not browsing, screen just froze. when i used power button to close it, it went dim to like 5% brightness
then froze totally, had to reset it

i had 4-5 freezes too

Me too, i have to use the power button to reboot it!

I've been having this problem to and the only way to sort it is to turn my tab off and on

I will take a look at this. I hope that's just the scripts issue so if anyone's interested in helping, please check if removing all the scripts from init.d and rebooting helps with the freezes? That's one problem that I did encounter, but I have that battery drain. I will try to build it again and test it for a few days.

OK I'm on it. Removed the scripts.
