OK, I have all the needed files to start work on the skin (forked the original project on git). It will take a while because of 1) my paying job and 2) the eighty billion xml file edits...

But it will be on my priority list nonetheless.

someone else played with xbmc with JellyBean on it?

suddenly it seems fonts are missing in some places, and it still takes 3 or 4 startups to have it running.

anyone else?

---------- Post added at 10:11 PM ---------- Previous post was at 09:37 PM ----------

here are some more current editions , tested.
problem with left side menu, is fixed at least

look here

ok,
it works quite well on JellyBean, when first it has scanned all language files and crashed 2-3 times due to memory issues getting those files unpacked and ready. but then it works quite well from here.

very good replacement for flashbased players which we probably wont see on jellybean for much longer.

edit:
here is another one, and seems better and more stable. although this will never get h/w acceleration since its for xios DS player it works great.
try it from here build is from july 30.

Depends on what you mean by jellybean.... It works okay on my n7. Haven't found any missing functions/fonts. Haven't quite tested it on the jb flyer rom yet.

I don't use it much on my tablets anyway since I have an htpc.

correct, the new builds are great and in my _flyer_ case, its important since im unable to get h/w decoding like many other cm10 builds. so xbmc is a great alternative with support for many media functions.

lets just agree that native ota updates should be fine

This is a nice thread with good links. I'll follow this as I have an older XBMC on my Maxx that works fine. I've tested it on GB and Honeycomb devices and it wont start. I'm about to get a TF201 and plan to flash JB so this thread could prove very helpful.
