Question Update will disable root?

Hey guys, read this http://www.androidauthority.com/att-...-twist-105238/

So the HTC One X's update will fix the menu button issues (YAAY!) but will disable root (NOO!).
Will the same happen to the HTC One S after the update? I am choosing between the One S, Galaxy SII and Xperia S.
The cons of the One S are 16GB internal but no MicroSD card slot, ceramic surface could come off (my operator doesn't provide the grey version) and the menu button. Now the menu button will be gone but no root? I would only root the One S after the 2-year warranty ended cuz it voids it but I don't know if a future Jelly Bean update will re-enable root again...

Yes it will, you just have to root it again the same way after the OTA.

So what actually means when root is disabled? I can root it anyway?

Yes one consequence of HTC replacing a lot of your system files is that you cant become root any longer. Just fastboot boot r3-superboot-ville.img again or click whatever it is you click in the all in one tool and you'll be rooted again, I just did it today after applying the 2.21.401.10 EU OTA.

So I don't have to have worries? Will it be no problem to root it again after the update? And does this generally happens with updates or just with HTC? And will the risk of something happening increase if I will root on a root disabled handset, or will it be the same?

What Home button issue? I meant the menu button issue when in non-ICS-optimized apps a strip at the button with three dots appears that takes up about 10% of screen.
