Lightbulb Upgradation of Dell Streak 5

Hi Every One. I want to upgrade my Dell Streak 5 to ICS. I tried to understand the basic method to upgrade it but unable to get any idea.Still myself is hanged between the rom, and other things.

So my question if it is possible then guide me a simple way or if it is not possible then may be i must quit my efforts.


Please i need your kind Guidence.

May be you guys think that i didn't throughly read the tutorials, but believe me or not its confusing myself. Even still i'm unable to get the difference between the rom and .pkg file.

Mayb my concepts are too strong to understand this tutorial.

ICS for D5 is not stable yet.

if you really insist... you can use dsc or longhorn...

ics is for advanced user only... and for advanced i mean they know workaround or can bear with non working modules.. such as camera...

yeah go with custom gingerbread roms, u can find custom roms here http://forum.xda-developers.com/wiki/Dell_Streak_5/ROMs

rom.pkg is stock roms (must b flash'd on according to same recovery/region)

rom.zip is custom roms (any custom roms must b flash'd on streakmod recovery)
latest working for our device...custom gb 2.3.7 (longhorn)
