Or even better: with root explorer, you can even delete the apk itself....
Using SEARCH and ADVANCED SEARCH will help you solving your problem. Reading the threads will help you too.

can anyone give me a link to the post that describes how to upgrade from cm 7 to this cm 9? or do I just have to wipe then flash the zip?

yep, just do a full wipe, then flash. that simple

Any chance the video HW acceleration will ever be fixed without qualcomms sources?
If not, im afraid these will be the roms im never gonna use
