There are S3 ones going around in the UK. There are several suppliers - the one HTC use for their warranty replacements only had S3 ones in stock the last time I spoke with HTC (3 weeks ago). The supplier to Carphone Warehouse has S4 ones, apparently.

In the benchmark system information pages, if it says 'villec2' anywhere then you have the S3 version. If you have the S4 version it might say 'ville' or 'MSM8960' in the case of Vellamo.

Also the firmware version series are different, the S4 one had the initial firmware starting with 1.53 and now has 1.78, possibly 1.84, 2.21 and 2.23 updates. The S3 version has firmware revisions starting with 1.11.

Finally, if you start the phone in bootloader mode, if it says VILLEC2 you have the S3 version, if it says only VILLE you have the S4 version.

I am getting around 5000 in qurdant and in system information it says 1512 processor speed so it means I have S4 or S3 Processor ?

Thanks for this post, Im in UK and did this check. Thankfully, I have an S4.. HBoot says Ville and in quadrant I get 5335, which beats the One X which mine ws compared against.

I sent my One S to HTC (S4) because it was just dead because of the JB Update. Now I can see in the repair status that I will get a new device and there is also the IMEI of the new device. Is it possible to see with the IMEI if its a S4 or S3?
