Why don't you just have the player load up all the music and be shown into a library instead of having to manually move songs to play lists to get music playing....

I'm wondering the same, or atleast have it it settings to add all the songs in playlist. A pain in the ass to add 1800 songs...

Other than that, I really like how it looks and feels.. Only that adjusting audio often changes the songs or jumps forward/backward in the current one.
Current daily usage phone: Samsung Galaxy S3 using Temasek's Unofficial CM10 and his OC-1800mhz kernel

If I helped you, push Thanks rather than posting saying so

hi,

I just installed xenoAmp..well, one word. WOAUWWW. I like the GUI as it is. It is simple to play with. no flourish ware. this is a brilliant player.
As this is beta i m allowing some feedback.

I had no problem on on installing the player on my device (ICS 4.0.3 see sig more details)
While i was playing the EQ give me a message "eq broke on device" => restart the device solved this but happens twice. (logcat first install and first eq broken at the end)
-this is eq from dsp aosp, it s a little difficult to set good rendering; we have virtualize1...to 10 or more dunno what it means - there s bass up the screen and down the screen. they can be set independantly... from up the screen boostbass, i heard when i grow-up but down the screen heard nothing. dunno what the meaning for boostbass down the screen.
-the flow, just awsomness (no hw disable) it seems that all my libraries is in there with art album..
-dB: well on installation it scans all /mnt/sdcard and refresh as described. it would be usefull if we can point the right folder (got a whole lib that point to the media sounds... untagged) about art album - in flow chart works fine - list... actually can t tell you more. need to play a little bit more.
playlist is made from folder if i m right, i can removed tracks by swipping left at a glance but noway to save-delete a playlist??
I played with roomcorrection and give me a popup message in ... polish - i had the button cancel/ok (well i canceled as i m not polish aware)

ATM it s all; i need to play more with the player

the logcat at first install and first popup message "eq broken device"

on mine, too :P (and if a preference for that doesn't make it into coming releases I'd prefer to have no thumb or a default instead of last)

kinda like it - don't have a problem with that in general lol but I want to give you an impression of that

see attached screens (luckily I can change lcd density easily with a button - but that's not perfect... btw: medium = default)

Looks like I've also found a bug by accident: accidentially hit db update while a title was playing - looks like I can't stop or pause playing - just could pause (or un-pause) the db update - not sure if it's just me, though...

I don't know about your music library, but mine is thousands of files. I can't realy imagine why would I like to create a playlist of 5000 tracks. It would take me about 30 days to listen to it, right?

That's why I've created XenoAmp - to pick easily and quickly. If you don't need such feature, just one create a playlist once (or let Xeno DJ do it) and... that's it.

But don't worry - you will be able to quickly create a playlist from all your files.

In filebrowser sweep up to xeno root, the "DJ" virtual dir is the place where you will get all your tracks.

XenoAmp - not your average music player

Saw this on portal amd installed it.
Good interface but not suitable for my screen(240 x 400 pixels, 3.2 inches @ 120dpi)
It gets cropped. Can't see the whole screen and the option menu.
Not for old devices though lags horribly on the album art screen.Maybe a option for just text layout would help that.
Looing foward to next version

I am beginning to learn these things. You see - on my machine the text is wrapped in as many lines as required. Will fix that.

Could any of you send me screenshots of xenoamp screens so I can see how bad it looks on small displays? At least one with playlist open? Fortunately I am prepared for this. Next release will use 100x100 icons on 320x200 devices.

If you think you can do better or know a skilled designer who could create such an icon and take in exchange just the fact that his/her icon is in XenoAmp, feel free to drop me a line (if you think that this is the kind of situation when some smart ass is trying to get something for free - you're right).

XenoAmp will come in at least two colors: black bacground/white fonts and white background/black fonts. Since user is allowed to choose a different icon, design it so he doesn't want to.

So? Anyone interested?
Nice app guy!
Awesome UI.

And a free icon I made for this app...
