If you are planning to go the CM route start by using Odin to flash the resurrection edition of CM9 (link is halfway down the op of the discussion thread in general) then you will be safe from the brick bug to flash CM9 latest or CM10 from recovery.

So, I was using CM9 and trying to unlock the simcode but then failed.
I saw someone saying that sim unlock is more successful with stock rom 2.3.3.
Without reading any instruction or anything, or you could say being an idiot, I booted to download mode and flashed stock rom 2.3.3 with Odin.
Then my precious SGS2 turned to soft brick.
All I see is a booting screen over and over again.
Please someone help me .

I've tried some methods I found on this board except the one that I have to look into the hex code myself.
So far all failed.
Galaxy_s unlock app by herloz gives me this weird code.
GS2 sim unlock app by Chainfire always force close on 3/5 stage.

Running stock rom 2.3.3
cf rooted
installed busy box 1.20.2

Am I doing something wrong?

I have a canadian galaxy s2, and I am just wondering, first which of the 3 versions I have, because when I click on our phone to just show our accessories, q&a, and stuff, there is 3 for android development. I'm trying to figure out which one I am because I bought my phone used off kijiji. Also once we figure that out, I want to go back to complete stock, and then update to the latest revolution remix. or what ever it is called.
I don't mind chatting through private messages?

i used samsung unlock pro i think its 5 bucks in market worked like a charm first time

What should I do to get to complete stock and if I do go to stock, will my unlock live or will i need to redo it?

If it says i9100 your in the right place. And just look in the origanl development section for returning to stock.
Ya you should keep unlock I did if not just re unlock.

Just to clarify, if you notice that it said i9100M before, i9100M and i9100 are the same thing hardware wise, Bell just added the M in for some reason.

Hi guys, issue here... after playing around with every different rom for the past year I wanted to see what stock was like again. So I downloaded UGLD3 from samfirmware and tried to flash it with ODIN but it got hung up on the factoryfs step. Then failed. Now I have a phone that boots into the 'connect to kies recovery mode' screen. I've tried flashing again with a couple different versions of odin plus downloaded the rom again. Nothing worked. Help? :/
