methinks something like the audio profiles or something .conf (I don't remember where they are) might have something with that

You guys are not the only ones with the problem.
The problem is a known bug with the new 6.x
CWM recovery. Flash Siyah 4.0.1 or 3.5.2 then try to flash paranoid again.

All should work well

I searched the thread and found similar people seems to have been solved by kernel changes. I've already tried Siyah stable and beta and also Darknight to no avail.

EDIT: Even tried 1.98 but still get the same error.
I had the sylinks problem when I try to flash this ROM in my phone. Here my problem is the recovery of the last beta of siyah.

Flash again the version 4.0.1 . Here this version flash this ROM without problems.

You can view the battery % by open the notification pull bar.
However if you want to see battery% without opening the notification pull bar, then follow my instructions below:

-download "blue infinitum" or sense CM10/AOKP theme" or "black exodus" from market or search for them on xda
-install the themes you downloaded -change your battery to "icon (default)"
-apply the theme under settings.
battery percentage will show now without opening the notification pull bar.
