Mine flashes, instead of being solid, how do you make it stay solid, instead of flashing?

If you 're talking about the led its supposed to flash for notifications. If you're talking about navigation buttons they're probably flashing because you have notifications turned on. Turn that feature off. I just use the app for keeping them on when screen is on.

So.... Why does this need permission to read my sms/mms content? or my contact data?

Because this app is also used for notifications for SMS/MMS. So in order for it to know when to flash for said incoming SMS/MMS, it has to be able to read them. (Not read their contents...Just read that one has been received.)

Current Devices
Asus N7 - Dirty Rootbox
LG Optimus L9 (P769) - Rooted JB

Previous Devices
Sony Xperia Ion - MIUI (Locked BootLoader)
Samsung Galaxy S2 - Paranoid Android
HTC Inspire - MIUI
iPhone 3G (Quit using it within first 24 hours)
HTC Desire Z (G2) - MIUI
HTC Dream (G1) - CyanogenMod

Uhhhh.... from my understanding, the receive function is for knowing if there is a mms or sms.

Reading allows the content to be "read".

Right?

The apk needs your permission so that it can gather all of the data inside your phone and send it to Google.

Google owns you, but they need permission first.

Off topic, but Battle.net will give you back your stuff. And if you don't have one, spend the few dollars for the authenticator... Or if you don't wanna spend the money, get the one for your phone from the PlayStore.

(If you replace your Rom, REMOVE the authenticator from your Battle.net account. After you are done all your flashing and mods, then put it back. I learned that the hard way)
