That said, I am the proud owner of a Nexus 7 and it is by far the most trouble free device I have owned. I've had it about a month now and have NEVER rebooted it except to install the 4.1.1 update...
There are some people who make the same claim about the TF101; we've never been able to ascertain what the difference is. Two prevailing theories: it's either that their use case doesn't trigger the unreliability (ie. there's something in the stock ROM that's triggering the problem, but they don't use their tablet in the way that triggers it; for example shutting down every night, not using particular stock software or hardware, whatever) or that it's a hardware thing (eg. Asus are shipping tablets with poorly-tested RAM).
I tend to believe the former theory, because if the latter were true then these tablets would be equally unstable on Honeycomb, and they're not. Honeycomb is rock solid, ICS is unusable.
I've certainly seen more than a few posts from Nexus owners reporting near-identical random reboot problems to the TF101 though, so there's every chance you're basically experiencing the same thing as TF101 owners. You're the lucky one, but others have issues.
Head of an Android household: HTC One X+ International 64GB, HTC One X International 32GB, two hopelessly unstable Asus Eee Pad Transformers (32GB and 16GB, each with keyboard docks; remember -- friends don't let friends buy Asus), Samsung Galaxy Ace, and a Fuhu Nabi 2.
Does this has foucus/pixel peeking like in other apps
Hi I am planning to get this app for my canon 7D with asus Tf300 with dock, I wonder does this app has picel/focus peeking (showing area in focus) feature, I saw this feature in one of the apps of similar type.
Secondly any body using usb dongle for asus tf300 with this app, how good is it and is there any delay on capture click (regular not in lapsed mode).
Just found and purchased this. Installed on my A500 ICS tablet and plugged in to my 1100D, everything just works, amazing! Best $10 I have ever spent .
Hey Chainfire, Its been a while since I was on here, but I remember way back you used to give us updates on the features you were working on and how things were coming. Sometimes even giving us an idea of when to expect updates. I was just wondering if we could get one of those posts again. According to the site, the app has not been updated since April which gives me 1 of 2 feelings:
1:Its about due for an update and its going to be a big one since it has been so long...
or
2:The development of this app has dropped on your priority list
I am hoping feeling 1 is the correct feeling, but if feeling 2 is more correct then I have a hard time backing the app and suggesting it to fellow photographers and cinematographers.
I understand that there is more work that goes into this app than i have the knowledge to even understand, so I understand if it is taking a while to get the next update out. I am just asking if we can get periodic updates as to how things are going and what features you are adding.
Thanks for your time, and as always, great app. I love using it and love the reaction my clients have when on a shoot. I am excited to see where it goes in the future.
With Canon 450D and Nexus 7, AF not working, I can adjust focus with the arrows perfect, move the Focus rectangle everywhere, zoom. (10x zoom distort the image).

Development is not coming along as fast as I as hoped - however, I want to reassure you that it is still under active development !
Since last update, I have been out of action for almost two months total, which took away quite some development time. As well as Google releasing Android Jelly Bean. This caused a lot of my other apps needing some updating, as well as DSLR Controller of course. The latter especially has seen over a week of work dedicated to JB bugfixes only. One problem in JB's renderer itself (finally worked-around in next update) took most of that week to track down - I'm still working on getting it to the right people to get this fixed in Android itself as well. That's just one example of one bug ...
And this is intentionally vague because I can't talk about it much yet, but there has been a side-development which caused me to spend quite some time rewriting a large part of the code-base, which might lead to some interesting features down the line (if you look closely at the upcoming release's changelog maybe you can deduce it...)
Of course I have spent time on a lot of fixes and tests to reported problems (thankless work, aside from the people who reported the problem, nobody will probably notice the difference). Further work has focused on (a) file transfer (b) remote control (c) external triggers. I've written basic tests for these, but so far there is nothing I'm happy with. I wouldn't expect either of these three to actually be present in the next update - which should be released within days - though I do intend to release the next update after that in only a few weeks time.
Still, I think many people will be disappointed with the size of the upcoming update, but it cannot be helped. All I can guarantee you is that this app is pretty much never from my mind.

REALLY want the Bramper working though, I love timelapsing sunsets...
The bramper has moved down on my list, as a number of people have mentioned it wasn't as important as some other features. That being said, I don't actually own a bramper, and I still really want this functionality for exactly the same reason. I'm still not sure how exactly to best implement it, though.

As stated in the app description and several times on DSLRController.com, on older models AF cannot be triggered remotely (unless you also take a picture).
HDR worked well for few days, now when ever I try hdr it says camera not I'm M,AV,Tv or ISO set to auto even though camera is in the modes, sometimes hdr screen shows up but nothing happens on click of go button.
What should I do now. Thanks in advance guys.
EDIT: Uninstalled and re installed and every thing is good now.
