I actually suspended my verizon line with them for the Galaxy tab 10.1 until such time as they get off their ass and upgrade it to ICS...

The sad part was they didnt even care.

My comment has an absolute TECHNICAL basis in reality, first the SCH-I905 is not parts identical to any other 10.1 size in the family tree and the Samsung wifi only as an example is not system burdoned with a broadband modem and GPS locator and SIM card.
The screen is totally different and is calibrated different as well with a higher white point calibration that lends enhanced gamma but quicker battery drain.

And when you upgrade to ICS you will be taxing the Tegra 2 tab even further than its limits so you will have periodic response I/o delay, HD video jitter and stutter, even greater battery drain so fewer operable hours between charge, and you will not be able to appreciate the added benefits.

Ooh but you will have some cool wall papers and menus sweeping to play with. Enjoy.

4.0 ICS and 4.1 JB is designed for newer chipsets like the quad core Tegra3 which Btw was simultaneously manufactured with the Tegra 2 and was quickly released soon thereafter..how and why?... the early Tegra 2 10.1 adopters more than made up for a sweet profit negating the extra Tegra3 manufacturing added cost.

Get real.

Not sure myself either. I'm wondering if he has ever run CM 10 on his SCH-i905. I have and there is a noticeable improvement. This being a carrier based variant of the standard 10.1 there is naturally a delay in update release, particularly since the market volume for this variant is so small. Hopefully the update does come eventually. I'm completely disinterested in the skinned version of ICS that will be released but totally interested in getting the necessary files to pershoot in order for him to roll them into CM 10 so that we have LTE in CM 10.

Having LTE is a must for me these days for what i do at work where frequently in meetings with clients or review agencies i will need to pull out the tab and grab up to date information from the net in random locations with no access to wifi. The delay in establishing a tethering connection to my phone in those instances is unacceptable to me, if it were I'd have ditched HC months ago for CM 9 and never looked back.

So until we get LTE working on CM10, what is the best ROM/configuration for us to run with working LTE?

Also, for my Galaxy S3, there is a forum specifically dedicated to the Verizon version. Why does it have to be so hard to find content for our Verizon version of the Tab 10.1?

Best is stock 3.2 with root and pershoot's kernel from earlier this year, there is no ROM with this baked in.

Exactly right on point. I am a huge fan of the Android OS and appreciate the integrated enhancements lending to ICS and especially the smooth jellybean. I own three Samsung tabs and have tested 4.0.4 quite extensively in practical use.

Eye candy will only go so far..

There is no question that 3.1 HC is the best matched system for the SCHI905 hardware followed by the 3.2 touch wiz variant in 2nd place.
Using pershoot kernel with the oc@ 1.4Ghz and a kernel and OOM script like zeppelinrox V6 supercharger you will have fully maxed the full potential of the GT10.1 And assessing the touchscreen tuner app will give you a similar buttery feel to jelly bean.

The 4.0 , 4.1 works best for the newer tab generations.

With this configuration do you still maintain ALL of the Tab's functionality, i.e LTE and cameras?

Where can the files and instructions be found for that configuration?

What would it take to prepare such a ROM?
