Man Idk about this thing anymore. I downloaded a movie thru HTC watch and every 3 minutes or so it keeps turning off. I thought maybe it's because the screen turns off so I set it to not turn off and still result. $90 with these issues?

I've tried everything including resetting the media link. I'm taking it back to the sprint store and possibly getting another one and trying it if they have another one. The one I have now was already open so it may be faulty.

DONATE TO ME
Just took back the Sprint dock which did not work with my Galaxy S3 even though the Sprint employee told me it would. I mentioned to him that I did not think it would work but he said oh yea it is universal and works with all of our phones. Once again another retail employee that does not know what he is talking about. It did work with my Evo 4g LTE but since the port on the Evo is located in a position for a dock the screen on the Evo was upside down when it was plugged in and sitting on the dock. I know it will work like that because sometimes I watch videos with a cord plugged in so I am not sure why it insisted on being upside down. Anyway, that brings me to the Media Link Hd. Not only is it awesome not to have a wire attached but the picture on my 22" LG monitor is better with the media link than the wired connection from the dock. Does not make any sense but the dock would not display in full hd to my monitor and I could not change it. It displayed quarter hd and looked like crap. Next thing is to go down stairs and test it on the big screen LCD 46" with 7.1 surround sound. I will report back but so far I am already in love with this thing and will definately be keeping it. I will test it out and report back ! Okay it works alright with the TV also and fills the whole screen but while playing Asphalt 7 the game would stop some times. I know my router drops signal sometimes for a second so maybe that is the problem. Also my router is upstairs in a bedroom if that even matters or does this thing have a direct link to my Evo ? I have not had any problems when just using it to search the web or flipping through screens and opening apps !

I returned mine to the sprint store for a refund. It looked VERY blurry on my 55" LED and for certain was not 1080p as stated on the box. I got better results out of a cheapo MHL adaper.

I had the opposite issue. Tried the Sprint dock/MHL adapter first and the image looked like crap. Returned it and got the Media Link and not only is the image much better and clearly HD, I don't have a short little cord to deal with and can connect to it from anywhere in my house.

K. So I just got the Media Link HD for Christmas, and I must say I'm thoroughly impressed. I've noticed a couple of little bugs, but nothing that makes me dislike the unit. The video looks good. Definitely in HD. It has reset on me a couple of times. If I could keep it connected, I would put the device right up there with apple tv.

I love mine! Emulators great, Videos great, music great, and web great with wireless keyboard.

Only thing is a tiny tiny lag while gaming, the update process was painfully slow and stupid JB notification in drop down won't go away like the power save feature.

You can change that setting and get rid of the notification in the Media Link menu on the Evo.

Default Re: HTC Media Link

Just an update. I've had my Media Link HD for about 7 months now. I still LOVE it and have zero issues!!! I pay for DroidTV Prime, and it works perfect work the Media Link HD! I don't leave mine plugged in all the time, as I don't want to kill the battery in it too soon (not sure that it even would anyway, but just to be safe). I leave the power plugged in to the wall at all times, just not in to the back of the Media Link HD. I simply plug the power in to it the back of it whenever I want to use it, and go at it. I always leave the HDMI cable connected, and just leave the power plug resting under the Media Link HD so it's right there and ready for me to plug in whenever I'm ready. I'm loving it, and anyone on the fence about buying one should do it now, you will not be disappointed!!
