I have the same problem here using the portrait sys.txt version of the first post.

The weird thing is that using the other sys.txt (landscape) with

[folders] app="%SDCARD%/iGO8"

works fine, but with the first sys.txt doesnt work with the default path and doesnt work changing the path landscape sys.txt

I read the first 40 pages of the thread .
I'm using HTC HD and own IGO 8.0.0 version.
I'm willing to run the program on me ppc.
I downloaded few versions from this thread of sys.txt and data.zip files.
But i still not sure which do i need to use.
Can any one post a link to a sys.txt and data.zip file that will work well on my HTC HD and igo 8.0.0 please?.

can someone please post me a link to a modded landscape sys.txt file or post it (ver 8.3) that has most problems fixed. Ive seen some decent long sys.txt files but cant seem to find them now. aLSO I would like to see the distance remaining to a destination on the main screen...

I had igo8 3.2.64873 running on the diamond and pro (waiting for my hd) with North America and UK.
If I look in (content)map folder I see basemap.fbl then Canada.fbl, United Kingdom. fbl then all the USA states. Can you see your israel fbl?

sorry guys, missed a few posts and my laziness doesnt let me search but did anyone notice that igo wont edit sys.txt itself in case you change the settings inside the app? just wondering cause when driving from Porto, Portugal to La Corunna, Spain few days ago i felt like using different settings. They all disappeared after an app restart.

any way to avoid it? one of the main reasons is to swap from landscape to portrait mode without stopping everything i'm doing just to edit the damn sys.txt file.

by the way: does anyone know how to disable that 2D view that comes up when you're in a road you'll have to drive for a while? It's cause I want it to stay in 3D mode ALL THE TIME...

If you use the retail PDA version (8.3.2.64029) you can use the application settings to change from portrait to landscape without editing sys.txt. iGO8 will not change the sys.txt file, it changes the system.ini file in the "save" folder. Do not manually edit the system.ini, since you can do that from the settings in the application.

Go to settings, navigation and unmark "Automatic Overview". that should do what you want.

we were talking about version 8.0, not 8.3.x, that version "does" support 480x800
