I extracted boot.img from Cyanogenmod 9 zip file and flashed through fastboot and rebooted device but It's still stuck at cyanogenmod 9 boot screen.

Can you provide any further direction? Many thanks.

do the second one as ganeshp said
reflash the rom again with smartflash enable and see if it works

This guide rocks ! many thanks for it ! I had the WiFi error and got it working with this beautiful guide. Oww this even works with Sensation XE - HBOOT 1.29 S-ON. Who needs S-OFF anyway Custom rom revolution HD works like a charm.

maybe you have a right in a short way but doing S-OFF you are actually fully unlocking your device and have more capabilities such as flashing fw,radios,rils etc

see if it will boot up

ARHD wouldn't install, 4EXT recovery reported that it was bad. I'll try again tomorrow.

Just to remind people of my issue:

Followed guide but boot stuck in Cyanogen boot screen. Tried battery pull; Clear cache's; reflashed Cyanogenmod 9. What can I say, I'm a novice and still learning!

1. Flashed stock Rom > RUU_PYRAMID_ICS_HTC_Europe_3.33.401.6_Radio_11.76A .3504.00U_11.24A.3504.31_M_release_266171_signed
2. Unlocked hboot through HTCdev - successfully
3. Flashed 4EXT recovery successfully
4. Entered 4EXT recovery and enabled SmartFlash (temp way)
5. Flashed Cyanogenmod 9 through 4EXT recovery

Did you do a full wipe before installing cm9?
Did you verified the md5 of the cm9 zip?

hey guys i just rooted my fone yesterday ..... using the htc all in one tool kit..... im running n h boot 1.27.000 ....im currently s-on but rooted.......i treid to flash a ROm called cynogen mod 9 ...it got installed bt when i rebooted by device ....it was rebooting for 2 hours bt still nothinbg happend .......pplzzzz gus help me out....im new to all the rooting all ol the stuff related to it....plzzz reply asap.....i wud be realy thankfull of you to answer my querries......den i flash viper 1.0.1 even dat is stuck in the reboot screen .....wat shud i do....i have not accesed my device for a day

ive answered you in the help thread long time back ..so now ..have you enabled smartflash and flashed the rom ? and still not booting ? then do the extra 1 step from this guide and see
