I use my phone for more than a year and I've never used a screen protector. No scratches, only one little chipping.

I've not bothered with anything for over a year and just have a couple of tiny scratches.

I dont know, maybe gg is so Great that IT dont need extra protection but I have bought my sg2 3 weeks ago and one week ago I have bought screen protector. I don't see the difference and my screen will have no scratch:P
