Can someone explain this to me? What hopes do we have of getting a better camera? What's keeping us from getting the access?

Yes. We won't have access to the Image Sense technology since it is proprietary and HTC hasn't released (and doesn't plan to) any information on it. If they did, other companies would clone it.

That said, my camera actually takes quite good pictures in CM10. But it's been a while since I've used sense.

I am on 9/19 and have the graphical glitches as well. Especially in Gmail its really bothersome when you really need it but when you don't it works perfectly

Fyi, the latest nightly uses a superuser compiled from source which causes Better Battery Stats to ask for permission at each boot and keeps the phone awake and hot if you don't give it permission.

Btw, anyone know where panorama photos are stored. Took a couple and they're not in the usual places

Yeah, disable Force GPU rendering in developer options to fix. I believe this used to be disabled by default, maybe that's what changed?
This setting will only affect apps that doesn't originally have support for GPU rendering of 2D stuff, until now this has usually worked fine to speed up those apps.
