Default Any music/etc to message alert?
I know it's possible to make any song on your sd card into your ringtone but can I do it for message alerts and other notifications?

need to convert it to a wav file i believe.

u can google super encoder and it will do the job for you

The wav file needs to go in the windows folder, not the ringtone folder.
